These are uncompressed 1920x2080 JPEG pictures of my timeslips. My car is either G57 or 2104. Each picture is several timeslips and 7 or 8 megabytes. They are just jpeg files with no HTML code, so use the back arrow to return to this page. The comments are referring to the picture linked below the comment.

The first time at track was 1/8 mile only at Bremerton on Friday. The first two passes were starting out easy and gradually increasing throttle until I got a feel for the car. My car is track number 2104. After two passes I get into the 7's and then the 6's for 1/8 mile ET.

Picture 2 is the last two passes of the day and both ETs in the sixes and 1.6 60 foot times. By the end of the day I felt pretty comfortable but still taking it easy.

Saturday, July 29, was Car Club Challange, and we get two test runs, then competition. My CCC number is G57 on the timeslips, not 2104 that I use on test and tune days. The rules are street legal, no quicker than 6.40 ET and no faster than 110.0 MPH. I lucked out and the other guy red lit on the first competition round, but I got beat by a very good drag racer on the next round and ended my day. The reason for two pictures is that the second test run did not get a time slip cause the printer broke so I had to ge a full page print out from the tower. So that needs it's own picture.

The second picture from Saturday, July 29 is because it's not a time shack time slip, changing paper rolls or something, so I had to get a print out from the tower but they only had a full page print out of the entire class of racers. This was just the second test run.

August 4, 2023, was a test and tune day and I got nine passes in. Ended doing around 6.4 ET and 1.5 60 foot times. Also went against some other fast cars, but not late model. They were mostly pro class cars. I used track number 2104 this day.

August 5, 2023 was a Car CLub Challenge day and you get two test passes and then competition. I red lit on the first competition round and got eliminated. It wasn't as fun as the previous day. I am CCC number G57 this time. Only three timeslips for the day.

August 18 was Car Club Challange at Pacific and the first time I went down a quarter mile drag strip. The first two runs were tentative and also my fastest because I a got warned for going too fast, over 135, and 10.0 is the ET limit too. So I had to slow it down after that. Three practice runs and competition runs. My first round the other guy red lighted so I just took it easy so as not to get disqualified. Then I flubbed the launch on the next round and couldn't catch up, and went over 135 anyway.

August 23 was test and tune at Pacific but I was warned in tech inspection that I can't go quicker than 10.0 ET or faster than 135.0 MPH. So I had to hit the brakes. I didn't think to just watch the speedometer and let off at 120 MPH or something like that. I tried to start braking about the 1000 foot mark. I didn't know how much to slow down because I wasn't really watching the speed. But I had to let off in all passes so only the 1/8 mile speed and time reflects full throttle.

August 25 was test and tune at Bremerton, 1/8 mile drag strip. I did every pass launching in second gear to see if the would help but it made my 60 foot times and ET slower than launching in first gear. The first pass I was rushed and didn't get a good burnout and started to go sideways before the 330 foot line and shut it down. Other then that, just 6.9 or 7.0 ETs.

Below is the tabular list of times in the order ran. The .000 RT for the 3.393 pass is what was printed on the timeslip. There are various reasons for the disparity in times. Learning the car, and the tires, and the track. I noticed that if I was among the first batch of cars at Bremerton, the track was usually slippery, so getting a real good burnout is essential. In fact the MT ET street radials this year seem to require a long burnout every time for best performance. I only started to get sideways once, 0825-1. A few times it was wagging the tail all the way down, so some of the 1/8 passes might have been aborted if they were full quarter mile runs, but I was able to ride them out on the eighth mile. Those were not fast passes, usually around 7.0 seconds or so if it was losing traction. On all but the first two quarter mile passes, I was lifting around the 1000 foot line, sometimes a bit early. I wasn't allowed to run the car at full speed because I don't have a class 6C license yet. But it was end of season at Pacific, so I'll have to wait until next year to get licensed to go fast. I think the car can easily do 9.8's and maybe 9.7's once in a while, if the track is sticky.
