My car is either 2204 or 2104, or 3002LIC, or 602. 602 is my NHRA Class 6C number. Thats for street legal under ten seconds. The 2204 number was a mistake that nobody caught. Way down below is the text listing of my timeslips, in the order I got them, and then sorted by 1/8 mile time. I didn't make it to the track much due to sleep problems or weather. A couple of days were boderline and they actually had racing but I didn't go because of rain between me and the track. I have to drive to the track on drag radials and I already learned my lesson about drag radials and rain. Once I got a mild case of food poisoning. So I had my drinks and lunch packed and ready five times that I couldn't actually go drag racing.
The first track time this year was 1/8 mile only at Bremerton on Friday, April 12, 2024. The track got cold and damp so the last two runs were sketchy.
Test and tune at Bremerton Friday, May 10, 2024. I got 6 runs in this day so the last two timeslips are on the second picture. The first pass was against a real drag racer and he was one of only two cars I ran against in 2024 that was as fast as me. The second pass was with a young woman in a nice corvette. But I had no traction and went a bit sideways and shut down. Later, I asked her if I caused her problems but she said it wasn't me. I thought my bad launch towards her lane might have caused her to shut down too, but she had her own problems with the track. There was a big crowd that day and more than a few spilled liquids on the track. The last two passes were ok, but track prep wasn't the best cause its just test and tune. May 31 was another Bremerton T&T. I remember that day because I couldn't get any good runs. I don't know if it was the track prep or what. Weather was good but I just got too pissed to get a good run. Another guy said "good runs" and thought the car was fine but I told him it just wasn't working for me today, so I left early. Friday, June 21, 2024 was my test run day for licensing. I had to run single for this but it was very hot and the engine was heat soaked and I just coudn't get a good 60 foot time. Track manager said to send it in anyway and I got my license. I can now run as hard as I want on the quarter mile track.August 16 was test and tune at Pacific and the first time I broke into the 9's. My first run was all screwed up. The other guy burned out past the lights, like a pro-mod or top fuel car. Apparently that screws up the sportsman tree lights, so the starter guy went over to talk to him. I was staged and ready and the lights were flashing as he rolled back and the track guy was talking to him. I didn't know what to do but I looked up and my light was green, so I left. That's why I had a one second reaction time and he didn't have a time. The second race was against a bone stock 2020 ZL1 on street tires. I'm pretty sure it was his first time at the track ever, so he did pretty good for first time and street tires. The other two cars were older fox body Mustangs that probably ran their dial times better than I could.
